Health Requirements

  • No serious heart or lung conditions
  • Able to walk 5–7 hours per day with a light daypack
  • No recent major surgery (within 6 months)
  • Consult doctor if over 60 or with any chronic conditions
  • Recommended vaccinations: Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, Tetanus

  • Nepal visa required for most nationalities
  • Visa on arrival available at Tribhuvan International Airport

  • Sagarmatha National Park permit: included in package

Local Culture Notes

The Khumbu region is predominantly Sherpa Buddhist. Remove shoes before entering monasteries. Walk clockwise around stupas and mani walls. Do not touch religious objects. Dress modestly in villages.

Important Notes

  • Travel insurance covering high-altitude trekking and helicopter evacuation is mandatory.
  • Acclimatization days are non-negotiable for safety.
  • Minimum fitness level: able to walk 5–7 hours per day with a light daypack.
  • The trek can be affected by weather; itinerary may change.
  • Altitude sickness is a real risk above 3,500m — inform your guide immediately of any symptoms.
